Campaign News
The Friends is now a registered charity
We have received confirmation from the Charity Commission that we have been recognised as a Charity. This status will help us progress the campaign and with fundraising - many donors prefer to deal with registered charities only.
We are now registered in England as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) Number CE024993 and Registered Charity Number 1193643.

Study Report
The final report for the Viability Study and Economic Impact Assessment has been issued to us. As it contains some commercially sensitive information we won't be publishing the full report, but there will be a summary available shortly.
The report describes a potential future for Streatham Hill Theatre which needs us to continue to work with Lambeth, GLA and the Theatres Trust, and to engage with the current owners and operators. We are exploring potential partners, funders and operators for the future too.
It's great to have your support, and support from across the local community and the creative community, from professional advisors, and much wider afield.
What's Next?
We have kicked off some next steps in the planned campaign:
- Form a team to plan how we could open and operate the building
- Restart fundraising, including seeking grants from bodies such as the National Lottery, to help pay for access and operation
If you can help with these now, or in any other area of the campaign, please come along to our next campaign meeting (see below), or drop us an email. Thanks!
