Town Halls postponed
The University expects that within the next two weeks, the province will issue a new directive for the post-secondary sector with information that will impact our planned direction for Winter Term 1 (September 2021). The Dean's Office has therefore decided to postpone both Town Halls to a later date. Once the Ministry’s announcement has been made available to us, we will have a better sense of how the Faculty’s work will unfold in September.
Daylight savings reminder
This is a reminder that daylight saving time begins at 2:00 a.m. PST on Sunday, March 14. This means that we will be setting our clocks forward to 3:00 a.m. at that point.

Call for Applications–Chris Spencer Professorship in Dyslexia
We are pleased to announce an internal call for applications for the Chris Spencer Foundation Professorship in Dyslexia. This professorship was established to make significant contributions to the creation and mobilization of resources available to teachers and families of children with dyslexia and related learning disabilities. All full-time, tenured, UBC Faculty of Education faculty members at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, and who are located on the Vancouver campus, are eligible to apply. Learn more
