Explore how equity has shown up in arts education in the times of distance learning.

Join San Mateo County Office of Education's Arts and Restorative Learning Coordinator, Michelle Holdt, and colleagues to connect and make connections between arts making and equity in education. Please have paper, scissors, a glue stick and some markers/pens ready for the first meeting, so we can make art while we talk and discuss how equity has shown up in our arts education work in the times of distance learning. These groups are drop-in and will be hands-on and interactive. Meetings are open to all teachers.

English Learner Roadmap Professional Development for Teachers and Administrators

The English Learner Roadmap teacher workshop series, to be held from January to April 2021, will focus on classroom practices, teaching and learning, and specific instructional strategies aligned with the California English Learner Roadmap. Learn more and register here.
The English Learner Roadmap for Administrators strand includes five modules to be held from February to May 2021. The modules provide a solid and comprehensive learning and support structure to prepare administrators to lead the implementation of research-based, assets-oriented programs and services for English Learners. The San Mateo County Solutionary Fair is a showcase of student solutions to local and global problems. It highlights K-12 student leaders who have identified inhumane, unsustainable systems and developed solutions that are healthy for people, animals, and the environment.
