Hello Gateway Family,
As you have likely heard by now, Renfrew County has moved from the green to the yellow zone effective today (Monday, March 8, 2021).
What does this mean for us as a church?
It means that we will continue to do our best to protect one another as we meet on Sunday mornings and at any other church related gatherings. Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance and attendees are required to complete a self-assessment prior to coming to church. We also need attendees to complete the online registration so that we can track attendance and ensure we remain within the 30% capacity.
The below information was captured from the Ontario.ca site, which indicates that we are still permitted to gather with up to 30% capacity per room and that remains true for Green, Yellow, Orange & Red Zones.
Organized religious services, rites and ceremonies
- Limits for religious services rites or ceremonies, including wedding services and funeral services, where physical distancing can be maintained (applies in any venue other than a private dwelling):
- 30% capacity of the room indoors
- 100 people outdoors
The Grey zone is the only lockdown zone, which limits attendees to 10 people.
