Hello!

Welcome to this month's newsletter! I know we're already almost halfway through March now, but this is my first newsletter so it's a bit of a trial run. Thanks so much to everyone who has signed up already, it's so exciting to share things with you!

Normally I'll write my newsletter at the end of the month but hey, here's some of the things I worked on in February. It was a slightly quiet month, but I enjoyed working on some personal projects I'd had on the back burner (including setting up this mailing list, haha!)

Veggie Recipes Zine

Staying at home more in the past year has got me a lot more interested in cooking, and experimenting with vegan food. In January I started doing a daily sketchbook page for that month, and several of those ended up with sketches of what I was cooking for dinner that night. I compiled these into a zine, to give ideas and inspiration for veggie-packed meals. This was such a fun little personal project, and it's got me inspired to make zines again.

New Printer

I decided to invest in a new printer so I can make prints to order for my shop to save on waste. I went for a Canon Pixma ix6850 and I'm very happy with it so far! If ever you can't see a print you'd like in my shop, please pop me a message and I can print one for you.

Repeat Pattern Blog Post

I wrote a new blog post for the first time in a while! Repeating patterns used to be my big thing at uni and I used to cobble them together using a free version of photoshop! Now I'm all professional with my iPad & Apple Pencil, and I use Procreate for digital drawing and editing. Making a repeating tile is different in Procreate but I've puzzled it out and made a little step by step guide how to make your own. www.savannah-storm.com/blog

Sketchbooks

I'll finish this newsletter with a couple of my sketchbook highlights from the month. I didn't do as much sketching as I'd have liked in February, so fingers crossed I get more time in March!
