Welcome to our 15(+1)th year!

A year to be excited about

Like many others, Soft Cogs Inc are only too happy to see the arse-end of 2020. In January we lost Onenut - Tony Campbell - our founding member. A good human who would have taught us this year, to just chill and ride the Rona out. His legacy will forever live with us. 
From March, CV19 pretty much stopped our social rides in its tracks. In November, it then took out it’s biggest riding scalp - the 39th traditional Gong Ride was cancelled.

But through all this turmoil and uncertainty, we’ve taken a leaf from Onenut’s guide to life - to remind us of the things we should be grateful for and things we are looking forward to. 

What we’re grateful for:

• Over 200 riders and supporters turned out for Tony’s Ride in February
• 70 members continued their membership despite limited social ride offerings this year
• Tricon continuing their Soft Cogs Racing sponsorship despite no racing in 2020

• Re-energised 2021 with social rides returning
• Celebration of our 15th year milestone (which should have occurred this year)
• Kick-starting the Groms MTB Academy - Onenut’s initiative for our young Cogs and getting them out into mountain biking.
• The 40th Gong Ride back on in 2021 and Soft Cogs coming back in stronger than ever!

The 40th Gong Ride - capped to 5000 riders

Yep, the gong ride is capped at 50% of its normal capacity. So that means it will sell out way faster than it normally does.
You need to register quickly or you will miss out!

Most of us will be privileged to have access to early entry. I'm asking to repay this favour by hitting the fundraising hard this year - demonstrate what we are capable of.
