Each day of the Summit will cover one of four main topics in an effort to bring more awareness to what components and practices can create a solid mechanical system across different climates.

PHIUS will offer both pre-recorded, on-demand content and a live panel Q&A discussion for each day of the Summit. Attendees will hear from those involved in product development, systems design, energy modeling, HVAC installation, and quality assurance.  Register here.

WUFI Passive Single Family Pro

April 1-2

Focused on the use of WUFI Passive in design practices for single family projects and is intended to provide shortcuts, critical milestones and pro tips to streamline the process and ensure CPHCs can take advantage of the full capabilities of the software.
The basic WUFI training provided in the CPHC course is a prerequisite for the course and a basic understanding of the software is required.

PHIUS Verifier

PHIUS+ Raters focus on single-family residential projects. The course is geared toward experienced RESNET and BPI professionals, and provides grounding in passive building principles as well as a guide to onsite quality assurance for the PHIUS+ program.

PHIUS Certified Passive House Consultant 

Phase II Begins April 12

(must complete Phase I first)

Learn to design to the PHIUS+ climate-specific building standard.

Phase I -- Online self-paced: Pre-recorded videos and modules featuring experienced PHIUS instructors; comprising about 35-40 hours of learning material. Complete prior to the Phase II training.
Phase II -- Online Live: Design exercises, and WUFI Passive and THERM software training, 3 hours per day over two weeks
CEUs: Phase I: 40 AIA LU/HSW & Phase II: 40 AIA LU/HSW | 32 GBCI | 37.13 BPI

PHIUS Rater

April 26, 28, & 30

The PHIUS CPHB training program prepares construction professionals to meet the passive house challenge.  Topics range from design theory and climate-specific detailing to materials, techniques, project management, and quality assurance.

Phase I: An 8-hour online prep course completed prior to the Phase II training
Phase II: Live instruction for 8 days, online delivery, 3 hours per day over two weeks
CEUs: 32.5 CPHC / 32.5 AIA HSW / 12.75 BPI
