REGISTER FOR IN-PERSON WORSHIP SERVICE

PLEASE USE THE LINK BELOW.Many of us have fallen out of the habit of registering for worship on Sunday mornings. Our volunteers are working hard to keep up with everyone who comes in the door, but they are missing some of you. We register for our sake and the sake of our church family in case there is a need to do contact tracing. If you do not pre-register for worship on Easter Sunday, you may be asked to wait to be seated.  WE NEED YOUR HELP.
PLEASE REGISTER FOR WORSHIP ON EASTER SUNDAY (10:30 service only).  Thursday, April 1 is the deadline for registering for worship on Sunday, April 4, 2021.

As a reminder, we ask that your mask remain on at all times while you are present on our campus, that it cover your mouth and nose, that it not be vented, and that it not be a neck gaiter.

We are SO CLOSE to knocking this thing down to a mere annoyance. Let’s keep up with the practices that have kept us in worship together so far. Thank you for the love you show by taking care of those around you!

If you are not comfortable attending worship yet, or if registration is full or closed, our plan is to livestream this service on Facebook at our regular worship time of 10:30 a.m.

We look forward to worshipping with you, no matter how you choose do that! “O come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the God our Maker.” Psalm 95:6

Endowment Fund Announces
Funds are Available
to Make Grants during 2021

The year 2020 was a good year for the Endowment Fund.  Investments grew significantly during the year and funds have been approved for making grants during the coming year.  If you or your Church group have projects/activities that you feel are worthy of being funded with an Endowment grant, you can submit your written grant request for consideration by the Endowment Committee through the Church office or directly to a committee member.  The committee will be meeting in late April to consider any requests received.  You may present your request to the committee when they meet or have a member of the committee present it for you.

ENDOWMENT FUND GRANT REQUESTS

Endowment Fund grant applications should explain the amount of funds requested with details about the church needs and use of the funds.

Sermon:   EASTER
by The Rev. Abril Goforth
Scripture Reading:   Mark 16:1-8
Here’s Sharon Karger with our 100% paid Apportionment Certificate signed by Bishop McKee and other Conference leadership. When we pay apportionments, we support ministries not only here at home, but abroad. Students are educated, people of every age are fed, and the gospel is spread through the land. Did you know that the majority of apportionments are returned to the local church? Way to go, First Duncanville! Thank you for your faithfulness!

First Methodist School – Chapel Easter Lesson

Our three year old Tuesday -Thursday class led chapel last week!  They taught us about Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, His trial, crucifixion, and RESURRECTION!  They sang the song “1-2-3 Jesus is Alive!”

Open enrollment  for the 2021-2022 school year (ages 1 year - kindergarten) and Summer Fun (ages 1 – exiting 5th grade) began on 3/1/21!   If you know a family with young children, please tell them about our school so they can learn and grow with us!

We are taking extensive measures in accordance with the CDC and the Dallas County Health Department guidelines to make our learning environment as safe as possible.   We are learning and growing and happy to see everyone again!
