Dear Library Community,

We're very excited to announce that in-person browsing is back today! See below for all the hours and details.

The State of Oregon considers libraries retail space, which means that we won't be back to some of our community functions--meeting rooms, study space, playgroup meetups--for a while. But our doors are now open for browsing, so you can stop by to peruse the shelves and check items out!

We're also issuing new library cards again. If you received a temporary card during the closure, or if you want to apply for a new card, you can now come by during browsing hours to get your official library card. You'll need photo ID and proof of your local street address.

Miss Gayle has been working on something fun for kids: storytime activity bags! You'll find craft supplies, noisemakers, and other fun things to follow along with library storytime on Facebook Live. Stop by the children's room to pick up a set while supplies last, during browsing hours. We're also planning some outdoor, in-person storytimes soon. Stay tuned for more information.

For the latest updates, follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. As always, check out our website for COVID-19 news and resources. We'll expand services as we can safely do so for patrons and staff.

Wear your mask, stay safe, and we can't wait to see you soon!
Browsing is Back!
Mon-Thurs 11 AM - 2 PM
Fri 11 AM - 6 PM

We're now open for browsing hours. Come in to select your own books and check them out! No appointment needed. Patrons of all ages are welcome. Masks are required. Meeting and study rooms are still closed, and public restrooms are not available.

Mapleton browsing will be Thursdays, 12-5 PM. Due to limited space at our branch, only one individual or family group will be allowed in at a time for browsing, and no public computers will be available.

Get all the details on our FAQ page. We can't wait to see you soon!
Make a Computer Appointment
Mon-Fri, 11:30 AM & 5 PM

Get Help Pre-Registering for COVID-19 Vaccine
Have you pre-registered for the COVID-19 vaccine with Lane County Public Health yet? You can do it online at http://bit.ly/LaneCOVIDVax or by calling 541-682-1380.

If you would like some assistance, we are happy to help you complete the brief process over the phone. Just give us a call at 541-997-3132 during open hours (Monday-Friday, 10 AM - 6 PM) and we can fill out the online form on your behalf by asking you a few basic questions.
  • Anyone can pre-register.
  • You don't have to be in a currently-eligible vaccine group.
  • Pre-registering won't schedule you an appointment, but it will put you on the list of interested recipients, and Lane County will be in touch with more information about eligibility and availability.
  • It gives the county a better idea of who is ready to receive the vaccine when it's available, and where to schedule clinics.

It's Tax Time
Federal and Oregon state tax deadlines have been extended to May 17 this year. We've got 2020 federal 1040 tax forms and instruction booklets at the library. Stop by during curbside hours to pick up a set, while supplies last.

AARP's local Tax-Aide program is completely booked for this season.
