Chaplaincy update 24th March 2021
St Andrew’s Chaplaincy would like to update you,<<First Name>>, on the progress so far on our exciting Renovation and Renewal Project. You can also find our Easter schedule a little further down this mailing.
Thank you!
Many thanks indeed to everyone who has so generously donated towards our Renovation & Renewal Project. We have so far raised 2,288€ and £700 has also been donated into our UK account, which is a wonderful start to our target of 8,000€. Our Swallows have been most generous and from some really encouraging emails, they clearly understand the need to upgrade our facilities, which is so affirming.

Work is progressing well, with walls removed and rebuilt, the new kitchen floor was laid yesterday (23rd March 2021) and the first fix electrics are now in place. We had some initial problems with tracing the mains water supply and dealing with faulty valves, but plumbing for the kitchen and new disabled toilet is now in place. Some of the walls have now been plastered and it’s all beginning to look really promising!
If you would like to donate something specific for the project - there’s a variety of things you can support from providing the skip needed to remove all the debris from the initial clearance @280€, the Cooker @250€, the hob @150€, dishwasher @360€, new fittings for the toilets ranging from 30€ for sinks and taps to 150€ for the new grab rails in the disabled toilet. Then there’s tiles for the floor and walls, new light fittings, kitchen cupboards and a sliding door for the disabled toilet…
Please donate to the Renovation and Renewal Project
It’s worth remembering this is all about making our Church Centre a good resource for our mission and ministry as a Chaplaincy. In other words it’s all about people, not bricks and mortar! As we make the building more attractive for potential hall users, it will provide a valuable additional income source which will support the ministry of each of our congregations. We hope you will want to be part of this exciting project and your donation - great or small - will be most welcome.
