City of Winnipeg Anti-Racism Week
Last week, the City of Winnipeg in partnership with several key community stakeholders, organized the first Anti-Racism Week (March 21 - 27, 2021), which coincided with the International Day for Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The theme of Anti-Racism Week was “What would Winnipeg look like without racism?”. Anti-Asian Racism
In response to the growing anti-Asian racism that has intensified amidst COVID-19, several organizations in Canada have come together to create COVIDRacism.ca, a website platform dedicated to tracking self-reported and witness-reported incidents of anti-Asian racism and xenophobia in Canada. A new report details the findings.
