In April, Mission of the Month giving is directed to Regional Indigenous Ministries, based at Campbelltown and Nowra. There are some fine indigenous Christians involved, but entrenched disadvantage means such ministries struggle to be self-sustaining. I believe we owe a special debt of encouragement to those ministering to the first custodians of Australia, given the poor treatment many Aboriginal people received at the hands of later arrivals. Here’s a bit of info about the indigenous ministries in our region.

AGM March 29, 7:30pm The Annual General Meeting for St Michael’s will be convened on Monday, March 29th at 7:30pm in the church hall. At this meeting, our Senior Minister and the church Wardens will give their annual reports, including finances. We also elect key office bearers for our church. Please pray for suitable candidates of godly conviction & character.
Serving at Easter Are you in Wollongong for Easter? We need some volunteers to serve, especially at the 10am Good Friday service. If you can read the Bible, help with tech, lead singing (woohoo!), play an instrument, welcome or clean, please let us know. We may need help for some of the other services as well, including Maundy Thursday, so if you're willing, get in contact!

Our first Leader Development morning for this year is this Saturday, March 27, 9-12 in the hall. Anyone interested in growing as a leader and servant of Christ is welcome to attend. There is some pre-reading for this event - please ask Liam or Stacey/Office if you would like to come and haven't received it.
