The Lenten season seems to have flown by and we are nearing Holy Week, which starts with Palm Sunday this Sunday.

This time last year we were entering into lockdown, so it’s exciting to (hopefully) be able to celebrate this most holy of seasons as Diocesan and parish comminities once again!

Mass of the Oils

This Monday, at midday, representatives from across the Diocese of Palmerston North will gather at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit for the Chrism Mass.

Given that last year we were unable to celebrate this liturgy in this way, it is set to be a great celebration and high point of our liturgical calendar.

“Joy is the salt of the earth and the light of the world. It is the yeast that leavens society as a whole.”
