A Heavy Stone Lifted
by Impact Middle East leader in Egypt

His words came from the Holy Spirit as the church planter spoke to the 14 brothers and sisters of the house church. The leader told the group, “God knows everything about your life.” He went on to say, "Jesus is with you. He loves you even when you are planning to commit sin. Jesus loves you even when you are planning a date with sin. He loves you, and He will not leave you. He waits for your return, your repentance and for you to give your life to Him.”

When Sameh, who was in attendance that night, heard that message, he asked the leader in front of everyone, “Did anyone tell you what I was intending to do yesterday? How could they know; I was alone. I was planning to commit adultery yesterday. No one knows this about me.” Then Sameh began crying about his sins.

Our leader told Sameh, “Jesus is ready to forgive all your sins, but you have to come to Him, believe in Him, and put all of your life in His hands.”

Sameh continued to cry and ask, “What should I do? I am a very bad man. I did not know that God can see me. I do not see anything good inside of me. I am full of impurity and sin.”

Our leader told Sameh, “Jesus is waiting for you, and He died on the cross to redeem our lives from our sins.”

Sameh asked all the members of the group to put their hands on him and pray for him. While they prayed, Sameh prayed as well, “Please, God, forgive me. Please, God, forgive me. Please, Jesus, write my name down in Heaven."

When the meeting was finished Sameh said, “I feel as if a heavy stone was lifted from my heart. I am happy.”

Praise the Lord! Please pray for our new brother in Christ, Sameh!

Five short videos and reproducible handouts
Perfect for VBS or Children's Ministries

Meet Nisaf, a winsome twelve-year-old girl in Kurdistan (northern Iraq). She lives with her family in a refugee camp, along with 8,000 other children and their families, after they fled from ISIS terrorists. Through five short videos Nisaf shows us where she lives and other special places in the camp, including the Noor Center. Established by Impact Middle East, the Noor Center creates ways for children to laugh, play, and feel safe again after all the trauma they have experienced in their lives. Reproducible handouts provide activities and additional information for each of the videos. Project options provide ways for children’s groups to help children like Nisaf.
