"I left my home when I was a young teenager,14 years old.

Since then, I have been looking for somewhere to call home. I had just pain, rather than anger toward my parents. It was more like sadness. They didn't want me or did not want to take care of me because I was not good enough to them.

During 'The Eightfold Path' Self-Reflection Seminar this weekend, I was just understanding that they were in the same way like me. They felt the same as myself.

My mother grew up in a household with an absent father and abusive mother. Probably she carried more pain to her parents than my pain toward my parents.

My father's father killed himself while I was in my mother's womb. My father was turning 18 then.

My Dad had a new son when he was 18 years old and his dad just committed suicide.

I was just thinking about all the struggles that both my parents went through just to give me my life.

I felt I was following in their footsteps but decided to figure out my own life, what I can do to make my life better.

My parents gave me the strength to do that, even though they were not around me so much.

It is like today's weather, the storm. I know I went through a lot but because of all those experiences, going through a lot of struggles and tensions, it still gave me the strength to come here, to find my true home, Happy Science."

"Two weeks ago, my main issue was to find somewhere to live, somewhere that I can call a home and make myself until I can become someone who can benefit the world.

I wanted to grow strong and gather under the light and enlightenment that Master has given to us so that we can know that we are safe and that we have everything that we need. I thought, 'Ok, I have to do this, not just for me anymore but for my family. This is for Toronto. This is for young people with a dream and for people that they think they are alone and I need to find a place that I can build myself and call a home.'

Then I finally found it here, somewhere that I can call a home and I am going to move to a new apartment, tomorrow with money that I made from my job, because Happy Science helped me find that job.

Today I was just thinking that now I know what I gotta do and I have everything I need to do it.

What mindset do I need now? The message that I received during the meditation was, 'you need to have faith in yourself. You need to be fearless and believe that you are strong enough to believe the master that he created you and he handcrafted you as his son, as his child, so you are enough you can do it and you can help many people. Embrace every single part of the journey so far and use that to enrich the other people.'
