Launch of the National i-THRIVE Academy E-learning modules pilot scheme
The National i-THRIVE Programme Team are excited to release their E-learning package of all five i-THRIVE Academy modules, created in partnership with Pearson Education.
The modules offer a comprehensive programme of training, with the addition of thought provoking activities embedded throughout to simulate the interactive element of face-to-face delivery. These include role play activities, assessment processes and exercises to promote diverse learning opportunities.
Each module stands alone, and participants can complete as many modules as appropriate to their role and learning needs. Each module is expected to be completed in half a day. However, this can be completed over different periods of time, enabling participants to access the modules in ways that best suit them.
Please click on the module titles for information on the learning objectives and recommendations as to who might be best to participate:
These modules compliment other input from the National i-THRIVE Programme Team that continue to be delivered in a remote face-to-face format such as engagement events, action learning sets and other informative workshops.
Are you interested in piloting these modules?
The cost of each module is £133 per person, per module, with a discounted rate offered for multiple purchases. The National i-THRIVE Programme team are pleased to announce that we have a limited number of places available for each module to be piloted free of charge. In return, we would ask that you complete a feedback form and a short survey about your experience of completing the module. Please note that places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
If you are interested in piloting any of the modules listed above, please email:

New i-THRIVE Implementation Story
We are delighted to share a new i-THRIVE Implementation Story that our colleagues in the Greater Manchester i-THRIVE Programme co-developed with Unity Radio to showcase their work during the pandemic, aligned with the principles of the THRIVE Framework.
Research Article: The impact of a needs‐based model of care on accessibility and quality of care within children's mental health services: A qualitative investigation of the UK i‐THRIVE Programme
A Health Foundation funded research study about the impact of the National i-THRIVE Programme has been published in the Child: care, health and development journal and can be accessed
here.
Key messages from the investigation include:
- A needs‐based and integrated approach is reported to facilitate the accessibility and quality of mental health care and support for children, young people and their families.
- Shared decision making and multi‐agency working are seen by clinicians and service users to improve quality of care provision.
- A needs‐based and integrated service model, supported by information sharing and collaboration over ending treatment, is seen by a range of professionals to facilitate accessibility of mental health care.

Call out from NHSx, IDEO and Public Digital
NHSx, IDEO and Public Digital are partnering with children and young people's (CYP) mental health to create a set of resources and training to help with digital transformation of local services.
They are looking for your feedback as they build and test content around improving service-users’ experiences, digital and service design methods, and digital transformation in a CYP mental health context. If you are involved in digital transformation or service design or improvement on a local or regional level, they want to hear from you.
What’s involved? They will send you their work in progress to read through, along with a set of questions they would like you to consider, based on your role. They might also ask you for a quick call to tell them more about how they can make it better. It should take no more than 30 minutes of your time.
Interested? Please email Gemma at
glord@ideo.com and she will reach out to you with further details.
If you have any queries about implementing the
