What can happen during femto laser cataract surgery

Francesc March De Ribot, Anna March de Ribot, Teresa Torrent, J. Tarrús
University Hospital, la bisbal, Spain

This video demonstrates an unusual complication of femtosecond cataract surgery in a hypertensive patient with glaucoma and a shallow anterior chamber. The docking resulted in a hypertensive crisis and intraoperative shallowing of the anterior chamber with iris herniation through the side ports. The patient was managed with lowering of blood pressure and IOP and cataract surgery was subsequently performed after a 60-minute interval using iris hooks to dilate the pupil.
