Change Your World Week

The Library is hosting virtual Change Your World Week April 12th-16th. CYWW gives students the opportunity to find their voice in becoming a co-creator in the kind of community in which they want to live. The website features student-designed pages to raise awareness on issues they have researched. Each page represents student work to inform their peers and empower them to take action to enact a positive change in their community. Be sure to check it out next week!

Don't forget to complete survey!

Please be sure to check your Delta email (may be in your junk folder) for the Delta College Library Resources Evaluation Survey. Please complete the survey by April 16th to help us provide the best resources to Delta students, faculty and staff. You may choose to enter a drawing to win Delta swag!

Anne Elias

Anne has been a Librarian at Delta for 17 years. She manages the library’s electronic resources, coordinates the Federal Depository of Government Information, manages the Math, Science, Political Science, Law, and Sports collections and is the current ECAPS chair. Anne, her husband, and their 7th grader reside in Saginaw Township, but she spent much of her childhood in the western suburbs of Detroit leading her to become a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. She enjoys reading, traveling, spending time outdoors, walking, and spending time with her family and pets. She has visited 35 of 50 states and hopes to get to all 50. The East coast and Alaska are the next trips on the list. International travel has included Australia: Sydney and Canberra, and Canada: Banff, Lake Louise, Montreal, Stratford, Toronto, and the Canadian Rockies. Tentative retirement plans include several summers visiting all the professional baseball stadiums in the United States/Canada.

Darius the Great Deserves Better

by Adib Khorram (New York: Dial Books. 2020)
A second chapter for the endearingly sweet, Star Trek-–loving “Fractional Persian” Darius Kellner. Blending broad themes like consent and toxic masculinity with the specificity of Darius’ intersectional identity (gay, white and Iranian), this coming-of-age masterpiece packs a multitude of truth and heart. (Kirkus Reviews, August 25, 2020)
