Finish Strong

I played football in high school and in college. At the beginning of the 4th quarter, it was common for our team to hold up 4 fingers and then sprint to the place on the field where the change of sides was taking place. This practice was intended to show that we were still strong and had the endurance to finish the game. For the 2020-21 school year, we are at that point. Hold up four fingers! It's time to finish this year strong!

We have ILEARN testing coming up soon.  Although we have many special experiences that we have had to cancel or postpone, all of us at CLS are continuing to brainstorm and find ways to modify these events to make them happen, or to postpone the events in hopes of bringing them back next year. We are thankful for those things we can do, and we look forward to the day when we can celebrate events without restrictions.

God bless your week!
Mr. Weber

**TRAIN SAFETY**

It seems like lately we've been seeing even more trains that usual that are stopping on the tracks in downtown New Haven and not moving for extended periods of time.

PARENTS: Please talk to your children about the importance of NOT climbing over the tracks and between the cars of stopped trains. It is a very dangerous move. Waiting on stopped trains is definitely irritating and wears on our patience, but it is far safer than attempting to cross the tracks.

It's Time to Gather Gifts!

With the CLS auction quickly approaching, it is time to gather some gifts. The members of the Legacy Consultants Thrivent team are asking for donations.
If you drop off an auction item between March 22nd - March 26th to the Thrivent office (4835 Stellhorn Rd, Fort Wayne) between 9am-5pm, we will treat you to a virtual, family friendly concert by singer Todd Alsup. The concert will be held on Friday, March 26th at 7pm.
Todd has performed for other Thrivent events in the past and has been requested to perform again. We would love for you to join us for this fun night of entertainment. If you are unable to deliver your gift at the time/location mentioned, please contact Tiffany Herman at tiffany.herman@thrivent.com or (260) 387-6488 to arrange for another time/location to donate. Please help us make this auction a successful one and enjoy some fun entertainment, too!

SPOTLIGHT ON

Mrs. Brooks & 3 Year Old Preschool!

Above all else guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. - Proverbs 4:23

Mrs. Renee Brooks has been serving in Central's preschool for four years. She is the lead teacher in the three year old Monkeys class! "Seeing the progress and growth each child makes throughout the year, seeing the boost in confidence when a child "gets it", hearing completely random stories or statements at any moment and getting hugs every day." Is what she enjoys most about working with our littlest chargers!

FUN FACT:
Mrs. Brooks spends one day during the Christmas season binge watching Hallmark and Lifetime Christmas movies. She cannot get enough of them!
Her favorite books as a child were The Berenstain Bears and the lunch she most looks forward to is Cheese Toasty.

Mrs. Bolt & 4 Year Old Preschool!

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.- Romans 8:38-39

Mrs. Casey Bolt has been teaching in Central's preschool since 2017. She grew up in Michigan and enjoys camping and vacationing there each summer with her family. Her favorite school lunch is chicken and noodles, and the best thing about teaching for her is "Getting the chance to share with every student in my room that God loves them. No matter what! And getting to watch their confidence and excitement for learning grow throughout the year." When not in her classroom, Mrs. Bolt loves creating things; her current favorite is watercolor painting.

FUN FACT:
Mrs. Bolt attended Lutheran schools for her entire education; preschool all the way through college!
Her favorite books as a child were The Boxcar Children Series by Gertrude Chandler Warner.
