While 2020 was a horrible year for many, however 22 lucky individuals still spent in excess of one million Swiss Francs (£773,000, €905,000 or $1,077,000) on a single watch. 13 of the 22 watches were by Patek Philippe, who often dominates this list. Four were from Rolex, two from FP Journe and then single watches from Heuer, Breguet and Philippe Dufour. Many will think spending this amount on a watch is grotesque, but money is worthless in banks currently and watches a commodity that have been rising in value. Smart people?
