○ Jewelry brand Kendra Scott is opening a store in Trenholm Plaza (in the former Francesca’s location) in Forest Acres next month. The store will include a Kendra Scott Color Bar, which allows guests to create customized jewelry. 💍 (Cola Daily)

○ The Aristocrat, a bar and restaurant on Washington Street, has been sold to Edwin Aycock, a resident of Elgin. According to Sunbelt Business Brokers, Aycock plans to revamp the menu and decor + bring a new approach to entertainment. (MidlandsBiz)

○ 3 million. The number of trees that the SC Floodwater Commission will plant — with the help of schools, volunteers, counties, cities, and more — on Earth Day (April 22). The project, Power Plant SC, will become the largest single-day tree planting event in American history. 🌳

○ 94.26%. The percentage that South Carolina’s unemployment claims decreased last week compared to the same week in 2020, according to a WalletHub study. The study also states that South Carolina ranks No. 8 in the nation for recovering unemployment claims since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. (WalletHub)
○ 75%. The percentage of South Carolina businesses that were operational in February, according to Facebook’s Global State of Small Business Report. Of the surveyed businesses, 73% expressed confidence in an ability to remain open for 6 months — this percentage was slightly greater than 50% on a worldwide scale. (CRBR)
