Any Wilkes County Democrat is invited!
WE HAVE A NEW NEW FACEBOOK GROUP:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/wilkesdemocrats

Our new Facebook page was suspended again last month. It said because we violated their "Community Standards" which is infuriating and unfair. There was no viable appeals process and no forseeable way to get it back.

After consulting with other County Democratic Parties in NC, the trend is towards creating private facebook groups to reduce the hostility.

So, we decided the best thing to do was not continue to be at the mercy of public pages and move to a private group on FB. It's a shame, because not as many people in our communities will see all the good we do,...but at the same time, we can protect ourselves from another suspension. It does require an easy vetting process, and it you're interested in joining, please visit:

New State Officers Elected
On Feb 27th, the NC Democratic Party State Executive Committee met via Zoom and elected new officers for the party. We also thanked Chairman Wayne Goodwin for all he sacrificed for the party, especially this past year with the loss of his wife, and we hope we get to see him at events in the future. As for our new officers, we are proud of the tremendous experience they bring and the diversity they represent as the governing body of North Carolina Democratic Party.
It is time to Organize!!

Precinct level party involvement is the most basic and most rewarding to be a part of for your neighborhood and community. If you aren't involved in your local precinct, get involved.

Now is the time to elect new 2-year officers, collect sustaining funds, choose delegates and write resolutions for the county convention next month. It is also time to start making sure your friends and neighbors are taken care of, have access to vaccinations, that any issues get addressed with the local government officials, and more.

If you are a registered Democrat and want to get involved in your local precinct but don't know who to contact, reach out to us at info@wilkesdemocrats.com
Oh, Baby!! It's a Democrat!!

3rd Vice Chair, Woody Madison, and his wife, Meredith, are expecting a baby next month, and we couldn't be happier for them.

If you'd like to give a little something to them, they are registered at Amazon and at Target
