ARS Morning Assembly

*Patience and Perseverance
Prophet SAW visited Taif to invite the people towards Islam. The people of Taif did not believe in the oneness of Allah SWT. Prophet SAW invited them to the oneness of Allah humbly and gracefully. However, the leaders of Taif were arrogant and mocked Prophet SAW instead of listening to him. They ordered the young people to chase him SAW and throw stones. Prophet SAW was injured and hurt but was patient. Allah SWT sent Angel Jibrail who asked the Prophet SAW: “ Oh Prophet of Allah! If you want  I can crush  the mountains of Taif (as a punishment for the people).” The Prophet SAW was a very patient and tolerant individual. Instead, he made Dua for the people of Taif and asked Allah to guide them towards the right path.

Subhanallah! The patience and tolerance of Prophet SAW resulted in the people of Taif accepting Islam a decade later.

What do you think the outcome would have been if the people of Taif were punished right away and not given a chance?
