WHAT A YEAR!

The past is over, the future has yet to be and that the gift we must cherish is the present. But from time to time, it can serve us to take a step back and do a survey. Hold space for the ways we’ve persevered and grown, while also assessing where we're at, if we've been holding ourselves back, and if we may need to adjust our habits.

I won’t lie, this past year rocked my world. And I know I’m not alone. Gosh. When I first had to cancel classes due to this virus, I never would have thought that over a year later I would still find myself not having instructed indoors again. Especially since that style of class is what feeds and aligns my soul. I’ve practiced patience, pivoted, and honestly, at times, felt lousy and despondent. This obviously hasn't been easy conditions under which to keep a business operating. But a year is a decent amount of time and rather than tear all of my hair out, I've surrendered to the unknowns to protect my peace of mind. I’m now standing in acceptance and gratitude. Heck, for ten years, I've been lucky to bear witness to countless amazing moments, I've met so many cherished souls, and I've had the unique chance to be a part of a beautiful community because of Zumba. Wow! So, no matter where this all leads, I'll continue to show you love and support.. just as you've always shown me. 

As you know, our County has finally entered into the Red Tier. Yay!! It’s promising news that gives hope for our collective future beyond the virus. What it means for my classes is that my schedule will remain as it is for the time being. Why? Because the current 10% capacity as stated in the guidelines for gyms/dance studios will not allow for enough participants to meet my overhead costs of an indoor space at this time. 

However, there is one important and NEW addition to my currently available classes...

ON DEMAND VIDEO CLASSES!
As of today, I am launching a new and separate On Demand video library of classes! I have been searching for a platform that addresses my business needs and believe I have finally found one. The videos will be on a monthly subscription basis of just $15.00 per month. This will grant you unlimited access to the entire library of growing classes at any time of your choosing!

Q Why On Demand classes?
A This format has been requested by those who liked the idea of being able to take classes whenever it fits into their schedule. I’ve been searching high and low for the right provider that checked all the boxes for my small business, and I believe I’ve finally found one.

Q Where can I access these On Demand videos?
A This library of videos can be accessed via any device that enables you to connect to online internet content.

Q Will my Mindbody passes be able to be used for this On Demand video library?
A No, this On Demand library will be a separate monthly subscription cost of $15 per month for unlimited access to all of the available videos.

Q What classes are available?
A I have created a library of hand curated dance cardio video playlists that will include both 60 minute and 30 minute long workouts. Additional videos will be regularly added.

Q Will subscription transactions be secure?
A Yes, all subscription payments will be securely processed thru Stripe, a leader in online payment processing since 2010.

LIFE WELLNESS COACHING
Very recently I co-facilitated a successful six-session group coaching program! It was called 2021 Determination and participants included a group of phenomenal people willing to open up and go deep. We shared many tools and insights. You know, those things that we didn’t learn in school but we all wish we did. Not just multiplication, but mindfulness. Not just solving equations, but our personal values and six human needs. Not just grammar, but reforming negative thoughts. Not just historical dates, but how we create our beliefs and can influence them and our own futures. Not just the solar system, but learning how to implement positive changes to our own systems and developing transformative habits that can stick. We covered all that and much more. 

Coaching delivers and empowers. It’s wonderful when you experience ah-ha moments and find ways to reframe your world for endless possibilities instead of roadblocks.

ZUMBA CONTINUES
While fitness may not look exactly how it did a year ago, it’s still important ­– if not more important than ever ­– to stay active and healthy. To help aide in your commitment to yourself, I have multiple Zoom classes available, a safe, weekly, in-person outdoor class on Sundays, and now an On Demand library of classes.

I’m also continuing to offer a deep discount on my monthly class pass ($50 vs $120) throughout the pandemic which can be used for all Zoom and in-person classes.

Whether I've seen you today, this past month, or it’s been over a year, I hope this finds you doing alright. And if you aren’t, it’s ok to not be ok. It's also ok to reach out to others. You can consider me as part of that support team too.

I have to say, it's been so encouraging to see people getting vaccinated! And it also has shown me how many people that attend classes are valued first responders, medical professionals, teachers, and other frontline or essential workers. There are so many of you! Thank you for all that you guys do everyday.

If you haven’t been to class and are thinking about it but feel unsure because of doubts, insecurities, a backpedal in fitness, or any weight gain, please set all of that aside and come anyway. 

I’ll say that again. Please come anyway. I get it. We all get it. This year+ has been so challenging. But you are part of this fitness family. We are community. We are not here to judge. We are here to uplift and rise together. We’ve been through enough together to know that life can knock us sideways, that we’re all imperfectly human, and that strength comes from bravely taking that small first step back into the mix. We'll keep things safe, respectful, and encouraging. We're simply proud of each other for showing up. So let's cut ourselves some slack and do more of what brings forth joy.
