Churchwardens oaths and
Commissioning of PCC members

Sunday 9:30am Communion

'My Father's house shall be a house of prayer'.

You are invited to write the name of the person or situation you want prayer for on a slip of paper and place this in a bowl by the entrance as you enter the church.  If you are not attending church, please email the name or situation to the vicar before Sunday and he will add the name or situation to the bowl of prayers.

At our Sunday service during the intercessions, we will offer them in prayer, without reading them out loud.
In this way we can still share (privately) our prayers and concerns.

Please bring your own slips of paper with you, and just place in the bowl as you enter the church.

23rd March~ Day of Reflection

The Church of England has partnered with Marie Curie on 23rd March 2021 to mark the first anniversary of the first lockdown in the UK with a national day of reflection to reflect on our collective loss due to Covid-19, support those who have been bereaved, and hope for a brighter future.
Bellringers will be marking the end of the one minute silent reflection at 12 noon by tolling a bell at 12:01.  The church will be open from 12 to 1pm for private prayer.

Words from the Creed

As we are encouraged to look at the Creed during Lent, everybody is invited to share which words are most important to them.  Just email your thoughts to the ministry team.

+

On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, He will come to judge the living and the dead.

The Prime Minister has announced the road map out of Covid.  on 29th March we will be able to meet in gardens, in May we will be able to go and meet in each other's houses, and in June restrictions will be lifted.   In our creed we have clear statements of what has happened, what is happening and what will happen.  The dates are not given, but the statement is true and will not be subject to change.(Hopefully the road map will also not change but may do.)  It is a statement of truth, a statement of hope and a statement of Judgement to come.  I pray we will all be ready for that day.

Our thanks go to the brave volunteers who helped remove the tonnes of rotting bread from behind the church hall this week.

Offers of help sought

As we start to worship in church again and get the inertia moving, there is a great opportunity to try out new roles within the church.  Some of these may be temporary which people are still shielding, some could be permanent as people have moved to new jobs and roles.

We are looking for somebody or bodies to head up our support for Christian Aid.  To keep the church informed of its activities and help organise fundraising events for the church and community.

We are looking for somebody to head up a new team of servers for our Sunday worship.

We are looking for somebody to head up the organisation of lifts to assist members of the congregation get to church, now that we can meet again.

We are looking for people to help with the sound and vision system in the church, full training will be given.

These are just a few of the roles that will help us grow as a church.  please have a word with a churchwarden or the vicar if you could help.  Please pray if God may be calling you to one of these  roles.
