This decision will be reviewed on a regular basis in light of any changes to the Southwestern Public Health COVID-19 response level and protocols.

We hope to see you then! Thank you for your patience and understanding.
“Coffee & Contemplation” - a Zoom Gathering

Spiritual Nurture During Lent

You are invited to join Pastor Karen every Thursday morning during Lent for a time of conversation and contemplation of scripture.

Lent is a season of unfolding honesty and truth-telling about our lives and our world.

It is an intentional journey where we “step away” and make space for God.  Each week we will consider a passage from scripture and explore how it speaks into our lives today.

So pour yourself a coffee (or tea) and join Karen on Zoom at 10 a.m. Thursday mornings for the next two weeks. Join in every Thursday or whenever you can.  There’s always a place for you “at the table”.

Scripture passages we will consider (if you wish to read them in advance) are:
  • March 25th:                Psalm 118: 12, 19-29
  • April 1st:                     John 13: 1-17, 31b - 35
Topic: Coffee & Contemplation
Time: Mar 25, 2021 10:00 AM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

INNERKIP UNITED CHURCH  POST-PANDEMIC

You are invited to participate in a time of conversation about Innerkip United Church post-pandemic. This has been a challenging year and a season of transition for Innerkip Church. As a community it is important to talk about how we are feeling and where we sense energy as we look ahead.

Please plan to be part of the conversation. We will likely meet regularly by Zoom and in-person as COVID protocols allow. This will be a facilitated conversation with a theme for each session. The goal is to process all the changes you have experienced and to brainstorm about what is possible for the Innerkip Community of Faith.

Stay tuned for a schedule of meeting sessions with dates and times.

Blessings,
Karen

“Rural & Homeless – Gary’s Story”

In rural communities, poverty can be hard to spot. People rarely ask for money on the street. There are no downtown cores to gather in and few, if any shelters, to turn to. Lack of public transit and nearby resources means that too often people are left to suffer alone. Gary would have starved or frozen to death without House of Lazarus, a Mission & Service partner, stepping up to help. This story highlights the unique face of poverty in rural communities and the many ways your Mission & Service gifts are making a difference.
