Easter gatherings

During Holy Week, there will be in-person chapel opportunities each day as well as outdoor displays of Scott Erickson’s “Stations in the Street” for personal reflection. On Good Friday, students are invited to attend a Tenebrae service in person or online at 4 p.m.; Capella and Women’s Chorale will lead the service.

On Easter Sunday at 10 a.m., our Worship Apprentices will lead a short service at the Seminary Pond as we celebrate Easter together on this Resurrection Sunday. After the service, students will be able to (safely) gather outdoors for hot beverages and cookies, and the dining halls will be serving a special Easter menu.

We encourage students to worship and celebrate on campus this Easter to decease the likelihood of unknowing COVID transmission into local churches and family homes, especially since older members of local faith communities may choose to attend services on Easter.

Calvin Lifework and professional development services

Off-campus programs

Calvin is tentatively planning to offer the Hungary study abroad program in fall 2021 and programs in Spain, Honduras, Britain, and Washington DC in spring 2022. The Hungary and DC programs are already accepting applications, and students can find more information on the off-campus programs website. One of Calvin’s partner programs, Chicago Semester, provides another opportunity for off-campus study with an internship component.

Information on May 2022 summer term off-campus courses will be available later this spring.
