5 Tips taught on my kinesiology beginners classes which can help you and your family:
1. If you or a family member are ever upset the Emotional Stress Release Technique is a simple effective tool. Focus your mind on the issue and talk about it whilst placing your hand face down over your forehead for a few minutes. This brings the blood to the front of the brain where you will then rationalise the issue and begin to find solutions or gain acceptance. The issue will still be there but you will now think of it differently. Whenever you or your child is upset simple place your hand over the forehead and after a few minutes they will feel calmer.
2.Marching on the spot tapping the opposite knee with the opposite hand is called cross crawl and this helps to build up the left right brain integration. The bridge between the left and right brain is formed when a child crawls and can breakdown when we are stressed or can sometimes not develop if a child does not crawl as a baby and can lead to brain confusion. Doing this cross crawl exercise daily helps to keep the left and right brain integrated. The exercise is great for both adults and children. Take a look at the video link below.
3.The Thymus Gland is where white blood cells are produced to fight off infections and is also linked to self esteem. The Thymus gland shrinks as we get older and when we do not feel good enough. Tapping on the gland in waltz time helps to stimulate the Thymus gland which will strengthen the immune system and also boost self esteem. The Thymus Gland is to the left of the sternum mid way down.
4.Our bodies are made up of more than 70% water and water is essential for our organs to function properly. Drinking at least 2 litres of water a day will keep the body hydrated. Weak bladders like water and it is best to drink throughout the day as the body then absorbs the water more easily. Caffeine and fizzy drinks are not good for the bladder.
5. Nearly 70% of our immune system is in our gut. Good digestive health is key to having a strong immune system. The main foods which cause poor gut health are sugar, wheat, cows dairy and white salt. Most processed foods contain all 4 of these so it is always good to cook from scratch as much as possible to limit these main 4 offending foods.
