I am very pleased to share that Rabbi Satz has been chosen to join 18Doors’ prestigious Rukin Rabbinic Fellowship Program.  18Doors, formerly InterfaithFamily, helps couples and families with one Jewish spouse, and one spouse from a different religious or cultural background, connect, explore and navigate Jewish life.

The Rukin Rabbinic Fellows are part of a unique community of practice that will help them hone their skills working with interfaith couples and families.  Over the next two years, Rabbi Satz will participate in professional development provided by I8Doors via virtual retreats, regular webinars, small group learning and one-on-one mentoring. The Fellows will each offer programs and workshops for interfaith couples in their own communities and virtually for a national audience.

Rabbi Satz states, "I am excited to learn with and from my colleagues so that I can help Temple B’nai Or to welcome the full diversity of Jewish families in our area.  As a Rukin fellow, I look forward to meeting couples with young children, engaging them in Jewish life through study and connection with other families, and helping them find Jewish community that is right for them.”

Rabbi Satz joins Rukin Fellows in twenty-one communities across the United States and Canada, where interfaith couples and families can receive:
  • One-on-one consultations with a rabbi who can provide support and answer questions
  • Referrals to local organizations friendly to interfaith couples and families
  • Programming for seriously dating, engaged and newly married interfaith couples and/or parents with young children to talk about how they want to bring religious traditions into their lives together
Mazel tov v'todah, congratulations and thanks, to Rabbi Satz on his commitment to serving interfaith couples and families of all ages in our kehillah and the Morristown area.

L’Shalom,
Stacey Schlosser
President
