Join us for Pesticide Action Week during 20 - 30 March and help create a pesticide-free world!

Promoting alternatives to using pesticides is a great way to protect our health and the environment from toxic endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). This is why every March, EDC-Free Europe partner Générations Futures organises the Pesticide Action Week, to raise awareness and build an international network for a pesticide-free world.

Every year, more than 1,000 events are organised all across Europe by citizens, associations, unions and regional authorities.

Just last month, a new study found residues from 32 different pesticides, including endocrine disrupting chemicals, in children's playgrounds in South Tyrol, Italy.

Elsewhere, our partners in Spain are raising awareness about the fact that the country is the European leader in pesticide sales

The European Commission already acknowledged the urgent need to reduce our dependency on pesticides and to increase organic agriculture by adopting its Farm to Fork Strategy in May of last year. The ambition set is to reduce the overall use and risk of chemical pesticides by 50% by 2030.

Here are three ways to get involved during
Pesticide Action Week:

EDC-Free Europe is a coalition of public interest groups representing more than 70 environmental, health, women’s and consumer groups across Europe who share a concern about hormone disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and their impact on our health and wildlife.
