Greetings of the day !!!

With reference to content Template scrubbing which was implemented on 8th March 2021 to abide the provisions of TCCCPR, 2018,it was reported that there was huge failure of A2P SMS traffic TRAI has requested TSPs to temporarily suspend the scrubbing for 7 days, vide email dated 09.03.2021 and as per the circular dated 16th March 2021 the below points need to be observed .

(i) All PEs and telemarketers shall ensure compliance to prescribed procedure while submitting the bulk messages to TSPs.
(ii) In case of any failure of the messages due to any reasons like content id, mismatch of template etc. A report indicating the % of traffic failed in scrubbing along with the reasons, which is liable for rejection will be recorded and shared back to the respective PE & RTM by end of day till 22nd March 21.

It’s been observed PE & RTM are not passing template ID for 50% of the traffic , We operator are here to help you with the reason for traffic failure when Template ID is passed, if the template ID is not passed our junk value is sent for scrubbing we recording error code and passing the traffic for delivery, however once the same become mandatory post 22nd March 21, Operators will not be in possession to support.

Request to Kindly ensure template ID is passed while sending traffic so that we hand-hold with PE & RTM and help to reduce the error %.

Kindly ensure all your templates are uploaded & approved by any of the telcos and final scrubbing date will be announced shortly.
