Dear Madam / Sir . ,

Following our email last week, we just wanted to remind you:

On Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 March 2021, we will be welcoming you to the EIP-AGRI online workshop 'Towards carbon neutral agriculture'. Here is some information that will be useful for you for this event. Please read it carefully! You can find a summary of this email at the end.

The event on the EIP-AGRI virtual event platform

.
EIP-AGRI virtual event platform
  • The event will take place on the EIP-AGRI virtual event platform. The link above will give you access to all of the sessions throughout the event.
  • You can also access the virtual event platform before and after the workshop to explore the platform itself, find out about speakers, to contact participants, to take a look through the detailed programme and more.
  • You will need to log in using the email you provided when you registered.
  • The platform works best in a Google Chrome browser. Microsoft Edge also works, if you are using the most recent version. Mozilla Firefox is not compatible.
  • Download the technical manual for this workshop which will guide you through the features of the virtual event platform.
  • Download the updated workshop programme on the event webpage.
Please be aware that the event link is only available to registered participants.

EIP-AGRI event app

We will also use our usual EIP-AGRI event app as a way to stimulate networking and interaction among participants. It is linked directly to the virtual event platform. For guidance, read the technical manual.

Plenary and breakout sessions

During this workshop, we have two types of sessions: plenary sessions and breakouts. You will find 'rooms' for each of these on the virtual event platform.

Breakout sessions
For the breakout sessions on Wednesday 24 March, you were invited to let us know your preference in the form you recently filled in. We have distributed participants equally taking into account 1st choice where possible. So when the main facilitator invites you to move to the breakout sessions, please go to the session you have been assigned to: Plenary sessions
We have some house rules that we please ask you to follow:
  • To eliminate background noise, microphones need to be muted at all times, except for the speakers and other people with a particular role at a given moment – the facilitator will give them the floor.
  • As you can see in the programme, during plenary sessions there will be several opportunities for Questions and Answers (Q&A). You can write your questions in the chat when the facilitator gives the signal. You may then be invited to turn on your microphone and take the floor.
The workshop language will be English.

Get ready for the workshop
In order for you to prepare for the workshop, here are some links for you:

Interactive map of participants

To be able to see the geographical distribution of the workshop participants, we would like to make an interactive map. Before the event, please mark yourself on this map. It would be great if you could also add your name, a picture related to your work on reducing carbon footprint in agriculture, a link to your website...

Networking

Please use this workshop as a networking opportunity. As always in our events, we want to encourage you to meet with other participants during coffee and lunch breaks, and learn from each other. You can use the EIP-AGRI virtual events platform and/or the event app to send a private message during the event. You can also find participants' email addresses in the registration list

Technical troubleshooting

On Tuesday 23 March, there will be 2 troubleshooting sessions from 10:00-11:00 and 16:00-17:00 (CET), for those of you who wish to test their connection, camera, audio, and access to the virtual event platform or event app. During this session, colleagues from the EIP-AGRI Service Point will be available to assist you with any technical issues. You can log in to this session through the virtual event platform by clicking on the same main link at the top of this email, then you go "Rooms" and 23 March 2021. You can also access these sessions on the event app.

If you experience any technical difficulties with the virtual event platform during the event, look for Zeus González in the participants list and send him a private message, or contact him directly by phone: +34 982 822 832. You can also find this information on the virtual EIP-AGRI Helpdesk – accessible on the virtual event platform and the app.

Recording, screenshots and GDPR regulation

The EIP-AGRI Service Point will be recording and taking screenshots during the plenary sessions (the breakout sessions will not be recorded). This material can be used for dissemination purposes after the event. The recording and a selection of pictures will be published on the EIP-AGRI website, allowing participants to use the video and images in their own event dissemination. The video and all event pictures can only be used in the framework of the event and / or of the EIP-AGRI, mentioning the copyright © European Commission.
If you do not agree to filming and using of your image, you need to keep your camera turned off during plenary sessions. However, please turn it back on during the breakouts since these sessions will not be recorded. For more information, see the official EC communication concerning GDPR regulation.

In a nutshell

Thank you in advance for your active participation. We are looking forward to meeting you during our online workshop! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

On behalf of the organising team,

Yours sincerely,
