As Big Thompson Watershed Coalition, our communities, and our partners move further into 2021, we continue to address the challenges and needs carried forward from 2020.

Through this year and into future years, BTWC will persist in our mission to protect and restore the health of the watershed through collaborative work which connects and leverages the resources of local agencies and private landowners.

This year, much of our focus will be on post-fire recovery. To help communicate the process from fire event into recovery, BTWC has worked with post-fire recovery partners, including United Way of Larimer County, Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed, and Larimer County Office of Emergency Management to create a Cameron Peak Fire timeline of events and an associated graphic of partners involved in different response phases.

As we press onward with long-term recovery and enter spring runoff, please contact BTWC staff if you or your community receive flooding or road/culvert malfunctions downstream of the Cameron Peak Fire footprint.
