Studying Consumer Trends & Behaviors
Understanding consumer trends and behaviors is an important part of the Beef Checkoff’s strategy when promoting beef and developing messaging around beef production. As consumer perceptions change and buying habits evolve, the Beef Checkoff adjusts the messaging approach through advertising and consumer outreach.
The consumer dashboard survey is a tool used to evaluate consumers’ attitudes toward beef and beef production while outlining areas that would encourage consumers to purchase more beef. The Nebraska state survey was conducted in November of 2020 showing Nebraska beef trends compared to consumers on a national level.
The Nebraska Beef Council Board of Directors will utilize this information during their strategic planning meeting next week as they make considerations for 2021-2022 programs. The Strategic Plan will then be sent to contractors who will be requesting funding for programs.
