Here's to a bright and shiny new year!

mid-March

Hello, knitters!

You're going to get two emails from me this month. This one, because I forgot to tell you about a class I'm teaching that starts this Saturday (whoops!), and a second email after I get a bunch more classes on my calendar (yay!).

NEW CLASS!!!!

KILLABREW VEST

If you’ve dabbled in Fair Isle knitting (and even if you haven’t!), the Killabrew Vest from designer Denise Bell of Lost City Knits is a good first-time, very user-friendly, “I’m-ready-to-make-a-garment-if-Sarah-promises-to-hold-my-hand” Fair Isle project.

The vest uses just 2 colors (or you can add a third for a “pop”) of a jumper-weight (fingering-weight) woolen-spun Shetland wool. The charted motif is small and easy to memorize. There will be steeks at the neck and armholes that you will cut open with a pair of scissors, but that is not as scary as it sounds and you will be SO PROUD OF YOURSELF afterward. And Sarah will be holding your hand (figuratively speaking) the entire time.

Dates: Saturdays, March 20, April 17, June 19, July 31, August 21 (5 sessions)
Time: 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Cost: $255

FACEBOOK LIVE

I've been continuing to "talk into the void" on Facebook Live most Mondays at 5:00pm EST (not today, though!) on my Sarah Peasley, Handknitter, Facebook page (link at the bottom of this newsletter). I give a shortish (30-45 minutes) preview of something that's coming up (like a class) or ongoing (like my never-ending pile of WIPs and UFOs).

You can watch the Facebook Live events live (duh), or you can watch them later.

I am more than happy to take your knitted pieces and turn them into a finished item! Seams, borders, weaving in ends, sewing on buttons, or ? — I can do that for you.

For more information such as fees or how-to, or to go ahead and schedule a drop off/pick up, please contact me by replying to this email.

Please keep wearing a mask, washing your hands, and keeping your distance. Thank you!
