Decarbonisation for India

Our latest Decarbonising Transport in Emerging Economies report presents an analysis of current transport activity in India and reviews key policy instruments developed by Indian institutions to shape transport developments in the coming years. It underlines the importance of taking a lifecycle approach to assessing GHG emission reductions. Get the report and watch the "Ask the Author" recording

Number of the month

Rail freight transport decreased by 6% in 2020 compared to 2019 for 31 countries with available data. This marks a striking difference with rail passenger transport which decreased by 41%. Boosting trust and consensus with blockchain

ITF experts analysed examples from freight, logistics and passenger transport to see how blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) can make for more efficient transport by building trust and consensus. With the transport sector already ahead of the curve, our latest report studies how to get the most from this nascent technology. Get the report and watch an "Ask the Author" video of findings

Combatting gender bias in AI data

"The sheer complexity of Artificial Intelligence (AI) makes it inherently non-transparent. This poses risks, and we need to think harder about how to address them", said ITF Secretary-General Young Tae Kim in his opening remarks at an ITF Corporate Partnership Board event with the OECD exploring how AI can actually help to identify and correct human bias.
