Online Work Practice in Sangha
Saturday, March 27th 9am - noon

Join fellow practitioners for a half-day with two unguided group sits,
a work meditation period and some time to connect with each other.

The work meditation period offers time to practice mindfulness while caring for our living spaces, gardening, cooking, or working on whatever project each practitioner chooses to do. For those registered for the retreat that begins March 31st,
this may include preparing your space for your week of formal practice.

There are also opportunities to reflect on your practice with other participants
and socialize with new and familiar dharma friends.

If you would like to join us, please RSVP here.
We will send you the Zoom link the Friday before.

The term “work meditation” indicates that this period of work is just as important a time for mindfulness practice as the sitting and walking meditation. The point is not to rush through the task so one can have more time for “meditation”, but rather to use it as an opportunity to practice mindfulness in action. It is a time to observe and let go of the many attitudes, beliefs, and feelings that interfere with having a meaningful awareness of the task at hand, no matter what that task might be.
