Directions for Connections: A Social Isolation Symposium

You are invited to resister for the first ever Pennsylvania Council on Aging Social Isolation Symposium, Directions for Connections can be found here. The event is going to be held on Tuesday, March 23rd and Wednesday, March 24th.
This is the culmination of weeks of work by the Social Isolation Task Force. We think that you will see that the program is engaging and high quality. There are a wide variety of topics covered and everyone is welcome to join. 
 
When you click on the link above, you will be directed to the menu of options, and the opportunity to pick and choose which sessions that you would like to register for. Once you do this, you will get a calendar invite, along with the login information.

Volunteer Opportunity with Friends of the Poor

On March 31, Friends of the Poor will hold our Easter Food and Easter Basket giveaway. We will prepare for 2,500 families. Volunteers are needed for one of three shifts: First Shift: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m; Second Shift: 12-3 p.m; or Third Shift: 2:30-5:30 p.m. In addition to the duties listed above, we will be looking for volunteers to help with the distribution of Easter Baskets.

Just a few reminders… closed-toed shoes/boots must be worn. Masks are required. Masks and gloves will be provided if needed. Social distancing guidelines will be followed. Please dress appropriately for the weather
