Dear Staff, Members, and Board,
Another change is upon us at Generator!
Our Marketing & Communications Manager, Christine Hill, is leaving Generator to pursue to a new professional opportunity as the Marketing Director at the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA). I hope you will join me in sending Christine best wishes!
Christine first came to Generator in early 2018 as a member of our very first JumpStart cohort. She soon moved into a studio space and launched her art business, Tender Warrior Co.
In October 2018, she joined the staff team with a part-time role in communications and quickly took Generator's storytelling and external engagement to a whole new level. Since then, she's initiated critical foundational work in Generator's marketing and communications systems that will serve our organization for many years to come.
During staffing transitions in late 2019, Christine graciously took on membership management. She quickly adapted to urgent administrative work while going the extra mile to streamline old systems in a way that improved our membership experience and management practices.
Christine played an important role in Generator's COVID-19 response by managing a barrage of PR requests while continually pushing out digital media showcasing our PPE production efforts to spread awareness and build support.
A message from Christine:
"It's been a real honor to serve Generator's community. I've received so many gifts here, the biggest one being a total mindset shift. When I moved my studio here in 2018 I told a friend it was because, at Generator, everything feels possible.
Generator's culture of experimentation and collaboration transformed me from a defeatist into a possibilitarian. Road blocks in my creative, business, and professional practices -- and even in society at large -- no longer appear insurmountable, and instead register as invitations to get creative, to pivot, or to tap my network for help. Our talented and generous community has proven over and over again that with the right tools, resources, and relationships, we can solve big problems.
Generator is well-positioned to keep growing and making change and I'm looking forward to supporting its efforts as a member! Thank you for allowing me to serve you over the past three years."
Generator has benefited greatly from having Christine's strategic mindset, storytelling skills, and go-getter, can-do spirit at work over the past few years!
