The Turner Ministry Tribune

Hello <<First Name>>!

It has been a long while since we have connected. Once Margaret joined our little family, we have been busy catching sleep, changing diapers, and figuring out work and community with a new life in our lives.

Though it has been a season of joy and new life, it has been hard to experience many losses with covid affecting so many areas here in Kandern and at Black Forest Academy. I am reminded of a passage that I read often over the summer that encourages me.

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea"
Psalm 46:1-2

In writing this, I remind myself of the refuge that God is no matter what we face. Even if mountains are falling into the sea! If so, God can be our refuge and give us strength in the midst of loss and brokenness.
Welcome Margaret Renee!
Margot was born on December 26th just a day shy of Christmas. As you can imagine, Christmas was quite eventful in the Turner household!

We have LOVED this season with our little bean. She loves to smile, take naps, be sung to, and move her little limbs! We cannot wait for you all to meet her one day.

We were so very thankful to have Maria's parents and sister with us to help out wherever needed. It was such a fun time to celebrate Christmas, New Years, and a new life!
Back at BFA
It has been quite a different year with lockdowns, regulations, hygiene rules, etc. Our students have been so understanding and joyful through it all! They are eager to learn and continue to expand their BFA experience in different ways.
We were incredibly thankful that Maria's friend Estelle was able to come and be her maternity leave substitute. She took over Maria's AP art class and the girls loved her!
Future plans (BIG NEWS!)
We have made the decision to stay for our fifth year at Black Forest Academy! We spent lots of time in prayer and seeking out counsel about our commitment to Black Forest Academy. We are confident that God still has more in store for us here at BFA and we want to press into that.

We are required to totalize after living in Germany for 5 years. Therefore, we plan to relocate to the Northwest US summer of 2022.

We ask that if you are financially supporting us, that you would prayerfully consider continuing with us through summer 2022. Thank you for your faithful support and prayers to help us be here and live sustainably!
Prayer and Praise Column
  • Our Senior class has experienced so many losses this year. Please pray for them as they navigate these losses.
  • Pray against any covid cases at our school.
  • Praise Jesus for such a healthy baby girl! Margot continues to eat, sleep, and grow well.
  • Please pray for Caleb's work as he tries to give BFA students a positive Spring sports season. The start has been postponed a few times already. So many students are looking forward to something after cancellation of Winter sports!
  • Caleb's parents have arrived in Germany! Praise God for getting them here smoothly. We will be spending the next three weeks together!
Margot has become very popular at the dorm we substitute at! It is a joy for us to bring her over as it gives the girls a chance to take care of a baby. Lots of baby cuddles to go around!
We are incredibly thankful for your investment into God using us in Germany. Your continued prayers and support are vital to so many ministries around the globe!

We Love You!
