Together Again!

We had our first week back together again for in-person Bible Study.  We divided into 4 different children's classes and had 10 children in attendance with 8 teachers. I didn't get pictures of every class, but I captured a little bit of the excitement on the grade school hall as the children and teachers played games and enjoyed being in person for Bible Study (see pictures below).
We missed seeing many of you, but if your family is not ready to come back to in-person meetings indoors, don't forget about a
virtual option for children on Saturday mornings!  (See details below).

Next week we will have an Easter Celebration for Children on Saturday March 27, 10:00 - 11:30 AM. Everything will take place outside. We will split children up into groups and they will rotate between craft stations and an egg hunt.  RSVP Here so that we will be prepared for you!  A parent or adult will need to accompany children for the duration of this event. Teachers or Children's Ministry Volunteers interested in helping with this event, contact Jamie.
We had a great first week back of in-person Bible Study!
Kids in Mrs. Jennifer and Mr. Jason's class were literally jumping for joy.  :)

The Daily Examen
A Spiritual Practice for all ages

I've outlined the steps of the daily examen that Pastor Stacy mentioned in her sermon Sunday and I've added some prayers or questions that parents can use to help kids practice this spiritual discipline too.
  1. Pause in the Presence of God - stop and pray, "God, thank you that you are here with us right now, watching over us, loving us."
  2. Give Thanks - think about how God blessed you, gave you a gift or provided for you today. Pray, "God, thank you for ... (let your children fill in the blanks)."
  3. Review -
    • Adults, we can ask ourselves: When or how did I respond to God's leading today? Were there times that I was too busy to recognize God's leading today?
    • We can ask our kids, "Did you notice something that God did today?"  (answers could be I saw the sunshine, the rain, the flowers, etc.)  "Did you do something good today that made God happy? Did you do something bad today that made God sad?"
  4. Respond & think about tomorrow - Pray, "God, how do you want me to learn or grow? How can I pay more attention to your leading tomorrow? How can I do better tomorrow?"
