Dear <<First Name>>,

It's fun having all kinds of neighbors, but sometimes it's hard to know how to be a good neighbor. Being a good neighbor is more than just supporting those who live next to you. It's also supporting your entire community. All community members deserve to have access to housing and the amenities that housing provides - safety, security, warmth, access to education and job opportunites.

But what happens when communities don't want certain types of housing built in their neighborhood? Discrimination against new housing development locks some community members out of existing neighborhoods and leaves a long legacy of discrimination and non-inclusive neighborhoods.

The good news is there are steps you can take to prevent this from happening. Learn how you can help to create more inclusive neighborhoods by checking out our Good Neighbor Guide on our website.

Also check out our recent interview, linked below, on "Speaking Frankly and How We Doin'" to learn who is experiencing illegal housing discrimination, what we're doing to fight for justice and equity in Oregon communities, and how you can help!
