CMS increases payment for administering COVID-19 vaccine

Earlier this week, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) increased the Medicare payment amount for administering the COVID-19 vaccine. The average rate for health care providers will be $40 for each dose of the vaccine. Other vaccine provider resources:

Physicians will play a big role in ending pandemic

As vaccine supplies increase, the White House is working with the American Medical Association and other physician organizations on the best way to engage doctors to participate in vaccine administration.

According to a study in JAMA Network Open, the biggest risk of health care workers getting COVID-19 is not from their workplaces, but from exposure to someone who tested positive for the virus and living in a zip code with a high positivity rate.

Participate in the COVID-19 Vaccine Allergy Case Registry

Consider submitting cases to the COVID-19 Vaccine Allergy Case Registry. Spearheaded by Massachusetts General Hospital, this is a community-wide effort to collect and share case reports on COVID-19 vaccine hypersensitivity reactions. Read more>
