Hello Jubilants,

The Spring Equinox this weekend marks the beginning of a new via – the Via Transformativa! Becoming is our theme for the quarter, as we seek to embody different states of transformation.

This week we are Becoming Balance. What does it mean to embody balance? We can’t all do the Tree Pose – one foot up and arms high in the air – but maybe we can move through the world with some sense of equilibrium. Not too fast or too slow, not too anxious or too apathetic. Just right – like the balance of light and dark on the Equinox. But even the Earth keeps moving in her dance with the Sun. From less light to more light to less light again. The balance keeps shifting as we cha-cha-cha to the ch-ch-ch-changes all around.

The journey from light to dark to light again is rarely more dramatic than in the movements of Holy Week. Read below about ways to get involved including a Holy Thursday Service of Remembrance (in-person at 46 Wall Street and streaming on Facebook) and an Easter Sunday sunrise celebration on the labyrinth in the River Arts District.

Looking forward to a time of transformation with you!

With joy,
Laura

So Many Ways to Contribute & Connect

HOLY WEEK EXPERIENCES
We have a full week of  inspiring experiences scheduled during Holy Week this year.  We will be branching out on Palm Sunday (bet you wonder what that means!) and holding a Holy Thursday Service of Remembrance in person in the evening at 46 Wall Street and streaming on Facebook.  There will be two Easter Sunday celebrations, including an outdoors sunrise service on the labyrinth in the River Arts District at 7:00am, followed by a 9:45am online celebration featuring The World Beat Band and Delia Lytle Baily.  Learn More and Get the Schedule Here

SUPPORTING JUBILEE HOUSE CDCA
We are looking forward to Sarah Woodard, one of the founders of Jubilee House - Community Development of Central America (CDCA), being the main speaker at our Palm Sunday celebration on March 28th. While there she won't be able to bring us a table full of wonderful Nicaraguan crafts this year, we can still support CDCA by donating directly on their website.  And they need our support more than ever after weathering COVID, the  after-effects of political upheaval, and two hurricanes. You can learn more and make donations here.

BOARD MEMBER NOMINATIONS
Four members will be rotating off the jubilee! Board this summer: Catherine Cope, Bill Byrne, Pamela Garrett and Molly Pritchard.  Four new members will soon step onto the Board.  Whose turn is it now? The Nominating Committee welcomes your suggestions!  You can find additional information about the Board's purpose here.  If you are interested or know someone that may fit the role, please contact Nancy Ellington at nancy.a.ellington@gmail.com or Bill Byrne at billbyrne@beverly-hanks.com

LAST CHANCE TO ANSWER THE ALL Y'ALL CHALLENGE
This is the final week of the All Y'all Challenge asking Jubilants to spread our love, light and joy by inviting ten friends and family members to join our Sunday celebrations.  Participating is easy. Just copy and paste the short invitation below (or write your own) into an email and send it to everyone you think might be interested in joining us on Sunday:
