Following a debate in parliament last night, the Government have voted to move to a second reading of the policing bill, which plans to bring in harsh new laws for nomadic people.
We're emailing today because we need your help.
There is a significant national shortage of places for nomadic Gypsies and Travellers to legally and safely stop. However, the Government is planning to bring in new laws which mean people who live on roadside camps could face time in prison, a £2500 fine or their home being taken from them.
Everybody needs a place to live.
It should not be a crime to have nowhere to go.
Today we have released a quick and easy new tool so you can write to your MP in under a minute and raise your concerns about the impacts of this Bill on Gypsies and Travellers.
We still have time to oppose the legislation, but we need you to take action.
