Update about PiP and Croydon Mencap
A Joint Communication from Parents in Partnership and Croydon Mencap
March 2021

Last autumn we wrote to let you know that there were plans for Parents in Partnership (PiP) to merge with Croydon Mencap.  We are now pleased to say that this will be taking place from 1 April 2021.

Please be assured that the PiP team will be supported to continue their high quality of service to families in Croydon and will be based at the Croydon Mencap offices in Thornton Heath as ‘PiP @ Croydon Mencap’.

Both organisations have worked together for several years and this is an exciting development which will see a range of services being provided for families of young children through to older adults with additional needs.

If you have any questions about this change, please email Alan Avis

Clubs @ Leslie Park
Our brilliant Clubs @ Leslie Park manager Kat will be running the marathon in October in memory of our beautiful colleague Yvonne.

This is from Kat's fundraising page on JustGiving -

Last year, the staff and members of Croydon Mencap were devastated at the loss of our amazing Active Lives manager, Yvonne Pennant Taylor to COVID-19.
Yvonne dedicated much of her career to improving the lives of adults with learning disabilities across both Lambeth and Croydon Mencap.
This year, I am running the London Marathon to remember her vital work and ensure Mencap is always at the forefront of people’s minds to help adults with learning disabilities.
There is so much more to do to show what Mencap members can achieve.
Throughout 2021, Croydon Mencap is running a new project called ‘Don’t Hold Me Back’ to prove exactly what they can do.
So, I am putting my money where my mouth is and starting off the project by running the London Marathon!
Please support me and show our members that they too can achieve anything they put their minds to....

Our talented Club @ Leslie Park members made a music mix.
They dedicated it to Kerry as she would like to be a DJ.
