Beginning in January, Texas established large vaccination sites or hubs around the state. The goal of these hubs is to provide more people the vaccine and a simpler way to sign up for an appointment. Providers will focus on vaccinating areas and populations hardest hit by COVID‑19.
Phase 1A , 1B, and 1C individuals are eligible to receive a vaccine at these hubs, regardless of where they reside.

Endowment Fund Announces
Funds are Available
to Make Grants during 2021

The year 2020 was a good year for the Endowment Fund.  Investments grew significantly during the year and funds have been approved for making grants during the coming year.  If you or your Church group have projects/activities that you feel are worthy of being funded with an Endowment grant, you can submit your written grant request for consideration by the Endowment Committee through the Church office or directly to a committee member.  The committee will be meeting in late April to consider any requests received.  You may present your request to the committee when they meet or have a member of the committee present it for you.

ENDOWMENT FUND GRANT REQUESTS

Endowment Fund grant applications should explain the amount of funds requested with details about the church needs and use of the funds.

  • Explain how the project will benefit and be relevant for FUMC Duncanville and our mission.
  • Explain the timetable for use of the funds.

OPEN TABLE Curbside Pick-Up
Every Saturday
Aldersgate Parking Lot
5 pm
Open Table continues to roll out quality food and provide much needed grocery staples to families in the Duncanville area.  This past Saturday we served 60 meals, and due to a generous donation we were able to send each person home with food and milk!  Another great team effort, and great outreach to the FUMCD community.  Thank you all!

The Pantry is low on Cereal, Fruit, Peanut Butter and Mixed Vegetables.  Our help is especially important now when individual needs are being relegated to the back burner.  If you can't be there in person, another way to help is to donate to our food pantry.  A bag of groceries is handed out with the meals.  For questions or additional information please contact
Alisha Vance at 214-641-5675
   Thank you church family!

First Methodist School – Spring Forward!

Our kindergarteners aren't stumped by daylight savings time! Before Spring Break, they learned how to tell time on an analog clock!

Open enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year (ages 1 year - kindergarten) and Summer Fun (ages 1 - exiting 5th grade) began on 3/1/21!  If you know a family with young children, please tell them
about our school so they can learn and grow with us!

We are taking extensive measures in accordance with the CDC and the Dallas County Health Department guidelines to make our learning environment as safe as possible.   We are learning and growing and happy to see everyone again!

In an effort to simplify giving, there are several options available:  1) the drop box on the south side of the administration building is attended daily; 2) mail - 403 S. Main St., 75116; 3) online – there’s a link on the website – www.fumcd.com ; 4) automatic drafts from your bank or other financial institution; or 5) credit card (Just call me at the office with your credit card information.  Please do not send this information in an email.)
