It has been an absolute delight to have our participants back connecting with each other face to face in Term 1!

We would like to congratulate the Red Hat Sparklers who celebrated their 110th social outing earlier this year (pictured to the right).
Moving forward into Term 2 we ask that all participants and visitors continue to:
  • follow signage in relation to the requirements of face masks on site.
  • record their attendance each time you come on site.  Tutors will circulate an attendance sheet for all participants to enter their first name and phone number at every class. We will keep these sheets for 28 days in case we receive a request from DHHS for contact tracing. The attendance sheets will be destroyed after 28 days. At Panton Hill, please record your attendance as you enter the site.
  • bring your own water bottle, cup/teabag/coffee/milk or ready made cuppa. There is access in the kitchenette to hot and cold water. We cannot currently provide the use of shared kitchen facilities or utensils. Any food is to be consumed outside.
  • assist the tutor with touchpoint cleaning after your class. Each class will use the disinfectant provided to wipe desks and classroom touchpoints to leave a clean work space for the next group.
  • maintain social distancing of 1.5m from other people. Please wear a mask if for some reason social distancing cannot be maintained.
Please ask staff or volunteers if you need clarification about anything.

We would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding of the changes we have implemented onsite as part of our COVIDSafe plans.

We hope you enjoy your course or activity.

The Living & Learning Nillumbik team.

Be Connected goes visiting

Our Be Connected volunteers had their first outreach session to a local retirement village in early March. Congratulations to our volunteer digital mentors on a very popular and successful morning. The 8 learners who joined us were all very appreciative of your time, expertise and your patient and encouraging approach to answering their questions about using their devices to get online. For our next visit we’ve doubled the number of appointments and it’s already booked out and a growing waiting list!
