Man made

From his studio and foundry overlooking the Snape marshes, sculptor Gus Farnes uses the beauty of his surroundings and the rich pickings of nature in such a way that his bronze figures offer us a tangible connection to the landscape and reflect our fragile relationship with it.

We caught up with Gus in the latest issue of the aboutfram magazine, to find out more about his work.

Ramblings BBC Radio 4

Step back in time

Local artist Arabella Marshall is to feature on Radio 4’s Ramblings with Clare Balding. For those who don’t know it - Clare goes for a walk with someone in a place of interest and they chat. Arabella did a c.5 mile circular walk with Clare this Wednesday, to be broadcast next Thursday at 3pm.

They began at Dunwich Heath - making their way via heaths, woods and pastures in a south westerly direction to Eastbridge village before turning eastwards towards the coast until they reached the chapel meadow where Arabella's large, colourful contemporary glass 'window' sits within the ancient ruined chapel.
