In the past week we have received notification from all our synthetic material suppliers of their intention to increase the price of all synthetic materials from 1st April 2021. The price increases announced are between 8 – 11%. The reason they are citing is the disruptions in the chemical industry and the effect on chain supply of adhesives, chemicals, PE and PP. They have had to accept dramatic increases in the cost of these raw materials. Having absorbed higher operating costs over the last year or so they are not in a position to absorb the increased price of the raw materials.

 

Unfortunately we have no choice but to increase the price of synthetic range of products from 1st April. The price increase will be between 8% - 11% depending on the manufacturer of the product. We are sorry that we have to implement these increases but the market conditions continue to be very volatile. We would hope that when there is more stability in the market that these increases will be reviewed.
